The Effort Tracker snap-in provides automated effort logging within DevRev. With a single command (`/log_effort`), team members can quickly log the time they’ve spent on tasks directly within DevRev. The snap-in guides users through entering required details like date, hours, and days, ensuring no incomplete or invalid entries are submitted. Each effort entry is stored in a structured, queryable format and appears instantly in the timeline of the related work item. Effort logged in sub-issues is automatically rolled up to parent issues, keeping progress tracking accurate at every level.

## Installation

1. In DevRev, go to **Settings** &gt; **Snap-ins** and click **Explore Marketplace** in the top-right corner.
2. In the DevRev marketplace, find **Effort Tracker** and click **Install**.
3. To select additional fields to log run the command `/select_effort_logging_fields` in the **Events** section.
