The Reported By Enricher snap-in updates the Reported By field on ticket creation when an email is entered in a custom field. It checks if the email belongs to an existing customer in the configured account. If it does, it assigns the Reported By field to that customer; if not, it creates a new customer with the email and assigns the field to the new customer.
Features
- New customer creation:
If the email isn't linked to a customer in the account, the snap-in creates and associates a new customer with the configured account. If it's linked to another account, it still creates a new customer and connects it to the configured account.
- Update reported by:
Once the customer is created or identified, the snap-in updates the Reported By field with that customer.
- Add ticket creator to reported by:
The snap-in adds the ticket creator to the Reported By field along with the other customer.
